Naomi, real name Trinity Fatu, remains on the sidelines following her WWE departure but is still working out in the ring.
After confirming her WWE departure last month on Instagram, there was a report this week noting that NJPW/STARDOM was interested in bringing in Naomi. However, money was the deciding factor not to make a deal happen due to the parent company of the promotions, Bushiroad, trying to cut costs where possible due to New Japan’s declines related to the pandemic.
The former WWE Women’s Champion recently addressed this report.
Fellow former WWE star Samuray Del Sol shared footage of him working out with Naomi in the ring on Instagram.
He captioned the post with, “Awesome lucha training @trinity_fatu #lucha #glow.”

As previously reported, Naomi recently abandoned a trademark that was speculated to be her new post-WWE ring name. Naomi was also at Saturday’s GCW event.
