Punk has his first starring role in a feature movie as he plays Don Koch in the haunted house thriller “Girl on the Third Floor.” The film doesn’t have a release date just yet but is set to premiere at Austin, TX’s SXSW, which takes place from March 8-17. You can check out the new teaser trailer here:
“I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to take on the lead role in Girl On The Third Floor,” said Punk to Deadline back in September. “I’m a longtime personal fan of genre films, and this project was an absolute natural fit for me.”
According to the promotional material, his character was described as a man who is failing as a husband that believes he can make up for past mistakes by fixing up an old house. Don tears the house apart for renovations, but the house starts to tear him apart as well, “revealing the rot behind the drywall.”
Once he signed with the WWE, Punk career took off as he would later hold several championships including the WWE Title. However, after dealing with injuries and lacking the desire to wrestle anymore, Punk decided to walk out of the company following the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in 2014.
