Pro wrestling fans have seen a real transformation in Glenn Jacobs. He was a Big Red Machine Kane and then he went corporate right before our eyes. Kane was a dentist and a fake Diesel before that too. But now Glenn Jacobs is branching out into new territory as he dives into politics.
Glenn Jacobs recently announced he was running for Mayor of Knox County Tennessee. This encompasses Knoxville which is a city rich in pro wrestling history. There were any nights when the town was abuzz over the antics of professional wrestlers in and out of the ring. Now Jacobs wants to be a pro wrestler to have even more of a positive influence on the city he loves.
Kane has more than a few supporters already and looks like a popular candidate so far in the race. He’s even getting some help from a very famous friend of his who can’t wait to help him Style and Profile all the way to City Hall.
The Nature Boy Ric Flair recently announced he would be in Knoxville to support his friend Kane in his mayoral endeavours. You can check out the video below and if you’re in the Knoxville area you should swing by and meet Ric Flair on July 12 because he’ll be in town spreading the word that Kane’s running for office.
Knoxville is the third largest city in Tennessee so there are a lot of constituents who can vote for Kane. If you happen to be one of those people why don’t you get out there and join Glenn Jacobs’ campaign? Kane’s a great guy and sounds like he has some big plans for Knox County. He said in the video where he announced he was running for mayor that he believed his home to be the best place in America to raise a family and he wants to continue that.
If you’re not a supporter of Kane, then that’s okay because at least The Nature Boy has his back.
