At 46-years-old, The Big Show has now been competing in the professional wrestling industry for nearly 25 years. Big Show worked for WCW, where he reigned as the promotion’s World Champion, before joining WWE in 1999 and never looking back since. Show has won nearly every title WWE has to offer at this point and is undoubtedly a future Hall Of Famer when he decides to hang up his boots.
However, it looks like that day won’t be coming for a while. The Big Show, who recently aligned himself with SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro), was recently interviewed by TMZ. He was asked how much longer he thinks he has inside the ring, and if he plans on retiring anytime soon. Show said he is feeling great right now, and feels like he has a few more years left in him:
“I’m still good. I mean, I tweaked a hamstring last week, so I’m a little sore. But other than that, no I’m having fun. I signed a new deal last year, I got a couple of years left – Yeah, I’m having fun. We’ll re-evaluate in a couple of years, absolutely.”
Also, Big Show was asked about possibly working with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal in WWE, as plans for a WrestleMania match between the pair fell through a few years back:
“(laughs) Shaq and I…… I don’t know. I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t see Shaq and I square up at some point at something, to somewhere. Whether it’s a Krispy Kream doughnut eat-off, free throw contest – Somewhere him and I are going to have to draw a line in the sand and figure out what’s what.”
