Although the Titus Worldwide stable has not produced many successful results, aside from Akira Tozawa winning the Cruiserweight Championship for less than a week, it has given Titus O'Neil and Apollo Crews a gimmick that heightens job security and opportunities to compete on Raw. Recently, both Crews and O'Neil have fallen victim to the onslaught of Samoa Joe, as he is on a reign of terror to demand respect from those backstage and the fans watching.
O'Neil and Crews share the suffering of defeat with Raw women's division talent Dana Brooke. After leaving her alliance with Charlotte Flair, Brooke became a babyface, and feuded with Charlotte for a short period of time. However, the breakup nor the feud helped Brooke's character in the long run, and she was still left without relevant exposure on Raw. Over the past few weeks, she has revived her NXT feud with Asuka, but only as a utility player to make Asuka look strong.
O'Neil and Crews approached Brooke backstage following her history-making submission loss to Asuka. The trio discussed their losses, with Brooke oddly giving them advice on how to survive Joe's Coquina Clutch. After a puzzling pause, O'Neil agreed and resurfaced to discussions they had with Brooke a few months ago to recruit her as a part of the brand.
