WATCH: Toni Storm accidentally kicked a referee in the face during a match

Toni Storm found herself in an interesting situation when wrestling a recent match that saw her kick a referee in the face. Accidents can happen in pro wrestling, and footage of this incident has surfaced online.

Storm was recently competing against Jordynne Grace at the Pro Wrestling: Eve event when Grace hit a move then went to pin Storm, but Storm kicked out before three and in the process of this, kicked the referee in the face. It appeared that the referee was okay and continued the match. Storm took to her Twitter account where she apologized for the incident but also mentioned how funny the situation was.

In the past two years, Storm has really made a name for herself. In 2017, she took part in the first-ever WWE Mae Young Classic tournament which saw her beat Ayesha Raymond in the first round, Lacey Evans in the second round and Piper Niven in the quarterfinals. Although the fans were behind her as a favorite to win the whole thing, she was eliminated by Kairi Sane in the semifinals.

The rising prospect was given another chance by the company when she signed a contract earlier this year where she would later work the NXT UK Women’s Championship Tournament. In the end, she came up short in order to become the first Women’s Champion in the history of the newly-launched brand as she lost to Rhea Ripley. However, that didn’t stop her from achieving a cool milestone when she won the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament when she beat Io Shirai at WWE Evolution.
