WWE spoke Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns at Friday night’s live event, ahead of Dean Ambrose’s final night with the company.
As many of you know, WWE Network will air Ambrose’s final match from tomorrow’s live event in Moline, IL. It’s an unprecedented move, especially for a wrestler that could end up joining another company, All Elite Wrestling.
In the video below, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns talk about their final matches with Ambrose. Rollins said he’ll feel the gravity of the situation by Sunday night.
Reigns said he has been traveling with Ambrose since he returned and it’s starting to get to him that Ambrose is really leaving. He said Ambrose’s key to life is to be happy so he is happy for Ambrose.
“No, the jokes are over. I want him to be happy. It seems like he is in a good place,” Reigns said when he was asked if he would convince Ambrose to stay.
I wouldn’t look to much into WWE’s decision to promote Ambrose’s final match. The word going around in WWE is that he set on leaving and the reason why the company is promoting the match is simply that it’s an opportunity to get a subscriber bump on the WWE Network. Also, the live event is a test run for the planned tier pricing. WWE plans on rolling out tiered pricing sometime this year with live event shows on Saturday night being considered for one of the top tiers.
