On the one-year anniversary of his return to WWE, the company has released never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage of CM Punk’s return.
Punk’s return to WWE in November at the Survivor Series PLE shocked fans as it was a heavily guarded secret. Punk has confirmed that he signed the deal shortly before he made his entrance to the arrival of stunned WWE fans.
WWE planned for him to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania XL. Unfortunately, plans changed when Punk suffered a torn triceps during the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, which Cody Rhodes won. He then went on a multiple-month feud with Drew McIntyre.
This Saturday at Survivor Series in the Men’s WarGames match, Punk unites with Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Sami Zayn to take on Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.
