WATCH: WWE releases Paul Heyman segment not shown on Monday’s Raw

Paul Heyman made his return to the flagship show of WWE in order to further promote WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar making his next title defense against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 35.

As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Pittsburgh, PA at the PPG Paints Arena on the USA Network, Rollins and Heyman exchanged words in the arena about the match that led to Shelton Benjamin attacking Rollins in order to set a singles match on the show that resulted in Rollins going over.

What wasn’t shown was the promo after the attack during the commercial break where Heyman talked about Benjamin being named as Lesnar’s “assistant coach” and former training partner. This led to Rollins saying that the Shelton Benjamin he knew wouldn’t hit and run but rather stay and fight him. This led to the match being booked.

For those who don’t know, Lesnar and Benjamin trained together at OVW where they became friends. They also have something in common as they wrestled at the University of Minnesota.
