WATCH: WWE Reveals Unused ECW Championship Belt Originally Meant For CM Punk

The WWE Vault YouTube channel continues to share gems of archive content and never-before-scene things, including an unused ECW Championship belt with a CM Punk nameplate.

As told by the archivist, WWE made the title with the intention of Punk using it in 2007 while he was champion. He never used the new design and lost the ECW Title after 142 days as champion to Chavo Guerrero Jr. in January of 2008.

As seen below, the belt has the WWE ECW logo with a silver backdrop.

When Vince McMahon bought ECW, he was able to obtain various ECW-related things, such as trademarks, rings, and the tape library. WWE held the ECW One Night Stand special in 2005 after the Rise and Fall of ECW DVD, which was a major hit. This led to the brand being revived the following year.

Punk is slated to wrestle Seth Rollins on the January 6th Raw on Netflix debut episode.
