It looks like WWE is teasing that Andrade “Cien” Almas could be the next person in line to challenge AJ Styles for the WWE Championship.
WWE.com caught up with Styles backstage before Smackdown Live and he said that General Manager Paige already has a name in mind for his next title defense. However, Styles was cut off by Almas’ manager Zelina Vega.
Styles said that he didn’t want to wait until SummerSlam and he wanted Almas tonight on Smackdown Live. It sounds like something might go down between Styles and Almas on tonight’s show but it also comes off like they are teasing Almas vs. Styles, which sounds like it would be a potential show-stealer at the Barclays Center. I guess we’ll know more in just a couple of hours when Smackdown Live goes on the air on the USA Network.
