I am sure most of you know by now that Chris Jericho will challenge Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Championship in January at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 12. The news led to a lot of questions about Jericho’s WWE status. I think most of us figured that he was no longer under contract with WWE.
Well, Dave Meltzer confirmed this on Twitter since so many fans brought it up to him on his timeline. It’s not clear what his deal is with New Japan Pro Wrestling after the Wrestle Kingdom show but Ring Of Honor talent will be working on “Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea” cruise next October and the cruise will feature a ton of names, including talent from Ring Of Honor. So, it remains to be seen if we will see him in a WWE ring next year. FYI, check out ChrisJerichoCruise.com for ticket information and to see a list of names already booked.

For those asking about Jericho at WK 12, his WWE contract expired, he's a free agent.
