Women may finally get the chance to wrestle in Saudi Arabia this Friday at WWE Super ShowDown

There is a chance we might see women wrestling in Saudi Arabia and it could happen as soon as this Friday at Super ShowDown.

Natalya, Alexa Bliss and Renee Young are on the flight to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Just like last year, Young will be there to call the action but Natalya and Bliss might step into the ring if things get worked out with the Saudi General Sports Authority.

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that WWE officials have been in talks with the Saudi General Sports Authority for months about trying to get a women’s match on the show.

It has not been confirmed yet that WWE has been given the green light but they must feel good about the match happening since Bliss and Natalya are on the flight to Jeddah.

Last year during an NXT TakeOver conference call, Triple H said that he believed that women would eventually be able to wrestle in Saudi Arabia. We’ll see if that finally happens on Friday.

Here is the updated card for Super ShowDown:
