Pre-show match. Real Americans vs. Rybaxel vs. Los Matadores vs. The Usos for the WWE tag team championship. This has been changed into an elimination style match. Los Matadores were the first to be eliminated. Cesaro pinned Swagger to eliminate Rybaxel. The Usos retain the titles after Jimmy pinned Cesaro. Great match. Swagger berated Cesaro. Colter tried to get Swagger to calm down. Swagger put the patriot lock on Cesaro but Colter convinced him to break it. Cesaro teased shaking Swagger’s hand but put him in the giant swing. Looks like a face turn for Cesaro. The pre-show panel wraps up the pre-show. The panel consists of Josh Matthews, Booker T, Alex Riley, and Trish Stratus.
It’s time for WrestleMania 30. Awesome opening video featuring scenes from the mardi gras shoot with Andre, Bobby Heenan, Austin, and Shawn Michaels inserted into the mardi gras scenes similar to the way UFC does it for their intros.
Hulk Hogan kicks off the show. He welcomes everyone to WrestleMania 30. He said “WWFE”. He said he was in the Silverdome but corrected himself. Stone Cold’s music hits. Austin and Hogan shake hands. The Rock comes out. They all cut promos. It ended with all 3 of them toasting in the ring. Amazing scene. The announcers described them as the mount rushmore of WWE. I would agree.
Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H is up next. They showed the great Daniel Bryan video package with “Monster” playing. The principle owner of WWE Stephanie McMahon is introduced. She introduces Triple H. Triple H comes out in full cape and shoulder and head gear with epic music. He stands up from the throne, takes off the gear and then his music hits. He gets a full  laser light show. Awesome entrance. Daniel Bryan comes down. Nothing extra special but the visual of the entire Superdome doing the “YES” chants was spectacular. Steph was trolling outside during the match. Bryan’s shoulder was taped up. Bryan kicked out of the pedigree. The  next time he tried to hit it he was kicked in the face. Bryan won the match with he flying knee. Stephanie got in the ring and slapped Bryan several times. Triple H attacked Bryan and hit his shoulder with a chair. His shoulder was already bandaged up.
Mountain Dew commercial.
New Age Outlaws and Kane vs. The Shield. The Shield comes out before Road Dogg can finish talking as he walks to the ring. They hit the triple powerbomb on both Outlaws at the same time. The Shield win. They dominated the match. It felt like they were running late so they had to make this shorter than planned.
Backstage, Sgt Slaughter, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Danny Davis, and Ricky Steamboat playing with WWE toys. Production guy takes it away. It turns out TED DIBIASE bought the Slam City toy set. He walked away laughing. Then Ron Simmons enters the picture and… DAMN!
Andre the Giant memorial battle royal. A bunch of guys are already in the ring. A few guys get intos: Big Show and Sheamus. Khali was one of the early eliminations along with Brad Maddox, Zack Ryder, and Brodus Clay.Final 2 guys in the ring: Big Show and Cesaro. Great finish. Cesaro picked up and threw Big Show out of the ring to win the battle royal.
Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena is up next. They played the “Legacy” video package. Tribal dancers were out dancing before Bray made his entrance. The band that sings his theme played theme live. John Cena gets a regular entrance. Cena was about to hit the five knuckle shuffle but stopped because he was creeped out when Bray bridged into a spider. Wyatt kicked out the AA. Cena speared Harper through the barricade. Wyatt took advantage by attacking Cena while he was laid out. Cena got the STF on Bray but Bray reached the ropes. Bray hit sister Abigail but Cena kicked out. Bray brought in a steel chair. He kicked the chair over to Cena and dared him to hit him with it. Rowan jumped on the apron and distracted Cena. Sister Abigail reversed and Cena hits the AA for the win.
The Hall of Fame class of 2014 is introduced on stage. Ultimate Warrior got his music.
Backstage, they show Daniel Bryan getting examined by the trainer.
Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker is next. Brock gets a standard entrance with extra pyro. Taker’s entrance starts out with cool clips of his past victories and caskets representing each one. When Taker came out on the stage, he stopped, looked over at Brock’s casket and the casket opening signaling that Brock would be next. Then the casket was set on fire. Taker kicked out of Brock’s F5. Taker put Brock in Hells Gate but Brock lifted him up and slammed him and broke out of it. Brock got the Kimura lock on but he reversed it and put the lock on Brock. Taker went to old school but Brock turned it into an f5. Taker kicked out. Taker hit Brock with a tombstone but Lesnar kicked out. Taker tried another one but he countered with an F5. Streak over. I’ve never seen a crowd reaction quite like this. The whole building as in shock. Once Brock left then they gave Taker a standing ovation.
Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship invitational. Most of the women are already in the ring. AJ Lee get her entrance music. I feel bad for them having to follow up Taker/Brock. After the ring was cleared the Bellas fought each other. Every woman for herself. AJ got Naomi to submit with the black widow.
Gene Okerlund interviewed Hulk Hogan. Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff cut in while Hogan was talking. Orndorff says that people bring up that he lost at Mania 1 and he feels terrible about it but if he had a partner that watched his back maybe they wouldn’t have lost it. Mr. T jumped in and said “I pity the fool”. Pat Patterson jumped in for a second. They reluctantly shook hands and buried the hatchet.
Bruno Sammartino, Harley Race, Bob Backlund, Dusty Rhodes, Bret “the Hitman” Hart were introduced at ringside.
Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. Daniel Bryan. Orton got a live performance from Rev Theory. Batista gets a regular entrance. Really though every entrance looks great with the set and in the Superdome. Bryan comes up but he’s favoring his left arm. Bryan got the Crossface, Triplel H and Steph came in and took out the referee. Scott Armstrong (the crooked ref that H used in the past) took over the referee duties. Bryan took out Armstrong. Then he took out Steph, Triple H, and Armstrong at the same time. Â Triple H then took out the sledgehammer but Bryan took it away and hit Triple H with it. Orton broke up a pin attempt. Orton and Batista worked as a team on Bryan. Steph and Triple were helped to the back by the referees. Batista hit Bryan with the monitor from ringside. Batista lifted Bryan up for a Batista bomb and Orton hit the RKO on Bryan in mid air. Orton landed on the monitor. His back is bleeding. That doesn’t look good. He’s in pain. Medics checking on Daniel Bryan. He’s being put on a stretcher. Bryan refused help and he got off the stretcher and got himself back in the match. Orton went for the RKO, Bryan refeversed it and went for the Yes lock. Batista broke it up but got caught in the lock. Orton broke it up. Batista countered the RKO but he hit it a second time. Near fall. Orton went for the punt kick on Batista but Bryan hit the running knee. Batista tried to steal the win but Orton kicked out. Batista bomb on Orton, running knee on Batista and Yes lock. Batista tapped. Confetti and pyro. Huge celebration with YES chants. A little girl and her mom I think joined him in the ring for a hug. Thanks for joining us.
