As noted earlier this week, New Orleans will be hosting WrestleMania 34. The event will take place at the Superdome, which was also the site for WrestleMania 30.
Other cities that were rumored to be in the running were Minneapolis, Philadelphia and New York and Minneapolis was said to be the favorite. They even had a video up on their corporate website several months back that mentioned WrestleMania coming to their city. Apparently, New Orleans put in a better money offer and an announcement should be coming on Monday morning since Raw will be taking place in New Orleans on that night.
The Smoothie King Center will host the WrestleMania week events including the WWE Hall Of Fame, NXT Takeover, Monday Night Raw and Smackdown Live. WreslteMania 30 grossed $10.9 million with an announced attendance of 76,157 so they will look to break that number next year.
