Wrestling fan escorted out of WWE NXT tapings allegedly because of association with Wrestling Observer website

Long-time wrestling fan, and by all accounts a genuinely nice human being, JJ Williams says was escorted out of the recent NXT tapings because of his association with the Wrestling Observer website.

Williams has been attending wrestling shows for years in Florida and regularly tweets photos from NXT shows but apparently, WWE took issue with him being there.

Williams says he was singled out due to his association with the Observer and security took a photo of his ID and he was told to delete the event photos from his phone before being escorted off the property. Williams added in another tweet that he was told that his social media account was being monitored.

Williams said, “After purchasing tickets and attending events since 2014 this obviously hurts, all I ever wanted to do was encourage the talent and share my enjoyment of this show and genre.”

Over the years, Williams has served as a contributor on the Wrestling Observer website and he would provide results from various events.
