WWE is now advertising an intriguing new match at its next event, Royal Rumble.
As exclusively reported by WrestlingNews.co, the top matches for the WWE event, including Hell in a Cell match and the return of a fan-favorite persona, are internally planned. Check out the planned card here.
WrestlingNews.co also reported that there had been a Pitch Black match pitched for the show, and it was being seriously considered for the show. One source in the company believed that the match was for Bray Wyatt.
The video below shows a 15-second commercial advertising a Pitch Black match at the Royal Rumble. The footage shows the arena going dark before a signature says “When It’s The Pitch Black Match” and later touted it as “Anything Can Happen.”
Mountain Dew presents the event. The video also featured a man walking with a bright light shining behind him. It appears to be Edge. WWE has discussed doing a Hell in a Cell match between “Demon” Finn Balor and “Brood” Edge.

WWE is slated to hold the 2023 Royal Rumble event in San Antonio, Texas, at the Alamodome on January 28th
