WWE and AEW among thousands of Twitter accounts frozen due to massive hack

A massive Twitter hack has forced the social media platform to freeze thousands of verified accounts and this has affected WWE and AEW.

Several big accounts, including Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Joe Biden and Kanye West were affected with many of the hacked accounts looking to scam users into sending money through bitcoin.

As of this writing, the hackers have reportedly been able to collect $100,000. As a result of the scam, verified accounts are currently unable to post.

WWE set up a @TempWWENXT account so they can retweet those tweets from their main verified accounts. The verified accounts are still allowed to retweet. The official @AEWrestling account is retweeting tweets from the @AEW account.
