WWE and Drew McIntyre Reportedly Have Not Come to Terms on a New Deal or Extension

As most of you saw earlier today, Drew McIntyre made his return to WWE TV at the Money In the Bank PLE. McIntyre’s name had been rumored for the show and PWInsider reported that WWE wanted him back by this weekend. They also report that the process of his return was impeded because McIntyre wanted a strong storyline so it looks like both sides got what they wanted in that regard.

McIntyre came out after GUNTHER won his match against Matt Riddle. McIntyre laid out GUNTHER and then posed with the Intercontinental Title to signal that they will be feuding over the title with a match likely happening at SummerSlam.

McIntyre’s return does not mean that he has signed a new WWE contract. His deal is still up in early 2024 and PWInsider is reporting that nothing has changed. Several weeks ago they reported that both sides were far apart on money. During the Money In The Bank press conference, Triple H was asked about McIntyre.
