Nikki Bella was on the Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast to talk about her new book “Incomparable” that was co-written by her sister Brie. The book is available now at all book locations including Amazon.com.
It was noted during the interview that John Cena and WWE had editorial rights and there was some content removed before the book was published.
When asked if the editing of the content affected the book she said, “It definitely… writing it, that stuff did cross my mind, it did. And there was never anything bad I wanted to say about John. John and I had a beautiful relationship. Did we have struggles? Yes. Will anyone ever know about them? No. [inaudible] Overall we did have such a beautiful relationship.”
Nikki said she respected WWE’s right to have a few stories taken out. She added, “I just wish I was able to talk more about why I ended up where I ended up. I still feel like people always will wonder that, and I think it’s just because we put our relationship out there on reality TV for 5 or 6 years. So, I wanted to tell that story, but… yeah, so…”
As previously noted, the book does cover some behind-the-scenes stories from her days as an active wrestler in WWE. Some of the names have been changed and there is a brief reference to Cena in the book but his name is not outright mentioned.
I noted in January 2019 that cameras were not allowed to film Cena on Total Bellas and there is apparently a non-disclosure in place that prevents her from saying anything negative about him in public.
