WWE announcer changes are coming soon

As noted on Wendesday, WWE recently hired former Impact Wrestling backstage interviewer McKenzie Mitchell and former House of Hardcore announcer Matt Camp.

We’ve been talking about changes coming to the rosters in the coming weeks with a draft planned shortly after SmackDown moves to FOX.

We also wrote about the announcing shake-up coming soon with Michael Cole heavily rumored to be moving to SmackDown as they want that show to no longer be considered the “B” show. There’s also been talk of just 2-person announce teams starting in October. Dio Madden, who is former NFL player Brennan Williams, replaced Nigel McGuinness on 205 Live this week becasue McGuinness will be exclusive to NXT since that show will be 2 hours and live every week on USA.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that main roster announcer and roster shake ups are coming sooner, if not later. WWE’s general rule is to make big changes whenever they move to a new network. The only thing that is known for sure is that Corey Graves will only be on one show per week because they don’t want talent going back and forth between brands like they have been in recent months.
