WWE has confirmed the story that first broke earlier today on Pro Wrestling Sheet.
WWE Superstar Robert Roode and Primo Colon have been suspended for violating the company wellness policy.
In a brief press release, the company said the wrestlers would be suspended for 30 days. This is their first violation. There was no word on what was in their system.
As previously noted, 30-day suspensions are handed out for first-time violations. It would be a 60-day suspension for a second violation and a third violation would result in a firing.
Roode was last seen losing to Roman Reigns a couple of weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown. Primo Colon has been working for his father's WWC promotion and hasn't worked on a WWE live event in many months. The belief among people in WWE is that he and cousin Epico are likely out of their way out of the company when their contracts expire.
WWE's official statement reads: "WWE has suspended Eddie Colón (Primo) and Robert Roode each for 30 days effective immediately, for a first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy."
