WWE Announces Live Event That Will Take Place On The Same Night And Minutes Away From AEW Worlds End PPV

WWE has gone up against AEW in the past, whether that’s moving NXT to Wednesdays, starting early on the USA Network before Dynamite’s start in 2019, holding Premium Live Events on the same night as AEW Collision, and taking other shots at the rival promotion.

AEW has also taken shots at WWE. The two companies will have the next Tuesday night showdown between NXT and Dynamite this fall when Dynamite airs on a rare Tuesday night due to a scheduling conflict.

AEW’s World End pay-per-view event, which was announced months ago, will be held on December 28 at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.

On Friday night, WWE announced at the SmackDown event that they would run a house show from the Kia Center in Orlando, FL, on this same night. The venue is just minutes away from where AEW is running.

While WWE going up against AEW won’t hurt PPV buys, it could impact AEW’s attendance for Worlds End.
