On Monday, WWE announced its latest on-air talent signing as Kevin Egan has joined the company. WWE has him going by the name, Kevin Patrick, which they recently trademarked.
Patrick will work as a backstage correspondent for Monday Night Raw, play-by-play commentator for WWE Main Event and as the host of Raw Talk.
“I’m beyond thrilled to join WWE,” said Patrick in a statement issued by WWE. “I’ve always been blown away by the incredible charisma and athleticism of the WWE Superstars, and I’m excited at the opportunity to help tell their stories.”
Patrick has worked as studio host, play-by-play commentator and reporter. In addition to his WWE work, he will continue to work for CNN International and Atlanta United matches on FOX Sports, as well as hosting for SiriusXM FC.
Patrick started his career by working for RTE, Ireland’s National Broadcaster, where he covered soccer events and the 2004 Olympics. In 2009, he went to work for the Big Ten Network before being hired by the Chicago Fire Soccer Club as a television commentator and analyst from 2012-2015. He went to Miami to join beIN SPORTS as a studio presenter and match commentator.
Typically, WWE doesn’t send out a statement about on-air talent signings so it appears the company thinks highly of him.
