WWE Announces Return Of King And Queen Of The Ring Tournaments

WWE has announced the return of the historic King of the Ring tournament, accompanied by the Queen of the Ring tournament. Both are set to kick off on WWE programming next week. The finals for both tournaments will take place at the WWE Night of Champions premium live event on Saturday, June 28, 2025, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

WWE confirmed that the tournament winners will challenge for their respective brands’ top championship at SummerSlam 2025 in New Jersey. Winning the crown will directly lead to a main event match at one of WWE’s biggest events of the year.

The King of the Ring tournament has a storied history of elevating superstars, with past winners including “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Bret Hart, and Brock Lesnar.

The addition of the Queen of the Ring in recent years has provided a high-profile platform for the women’s division. Brackets and participants are expected to be revealed soon.
