JBL told WWE.com that it’s an incredible honor and that he has always thought that inducting someone into the WWE Hall of Fame is one of the greatest privileges you can get because it’s the honor of a lifetime for the person going in. He added that Long is a groundbreaker and worked his way up from the ring crew to becoming a manager of one of the greatest tag teams of all-time, which is Doom. He brought up that Long was a referee and also a general manager. “Teddy Long has done it all. If there’s anybody deserving of going into the WWE Hall of Fame, it’s him.”
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson), Kurt Angle, Diamond Dallas Page, Beth Phoenix, and Rick Rude have already been announced as inductees for this year’s class of the Hall of Fame.
