WWE appears to be making a change to the WrestleMania main event

If you watched the main event of WWE Fastlane, the impression that was given was that Daniel Bryan will be inserted into the WrestleMania 37 main event.

Dave Meltzer noted on Sunday’s Wrestling Observer Radio that the plan as of a few days ago was still Edge vs. Reigns in a singles match. However, it is not uncommon for Vince McMahon to make changes late in the game so if a change was made to the Mania main event then it would have happened within the last couple of days.

At Fastlane, Bryan forced Reigns to tap out to the YES lock at Fastlane but with the original referee knocked out of the match and Edge not in a position to call the tap out, the match continued. Edge appeared to have turned heel when he attacked Bryan and Reigns with chair shots and Reigns eventually won the match. As of now, it’s looking like Edge vs. Bryan vs. Reigns in a Triple Threat Match but that has not yet been officially announced by WWE.

As of this writing, these are the matches that have been officially announced for the show:

WWE Universal Championship
Roman Reigns (Champion) vs. Edge

WWE Championship
Bobby Lashley (Champion) vs. Drew McIntyre

WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
Sasha Banks (Champion) vs. Bianca Belair

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship
The New Day (Champions) vs. AJ Styles and Omos
