Kayla Braxton came out last month to reveal that she not only tested positive for the coronavirus recently but also did a few months ago.
Her first tested positive for the virus came back in March, which was when the United States started to lockdown after spikes of the virus. After she tested positive for it again, she took to social media to share that people can get the coronavirus again after having it the first time.
Unfortunately, at the time, she received harassment from people on social media to the point where she took a hiatus from Twitter. Some backstage news about the way that Braxton handled her diagnosis within WWE was reported.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that Braxton received praise from WWE staff and talent he’s spoken with because of her transparency and care for co-workers.
Braxton went as far as telling the company to name her in a memo in addition to the circumstances in which she believed she contracted the virus originally.
She was the last person that WWE would name in a memo sent out to the rest of the roster and staff regarding a positive COVID-19 test within the company up to this point.
WWE has reportedly told talent and staff to not publicly announce that they had tested positive for the virus. Before this memo was issued, the likes of Renee Young, Braxton, and Adam Pearce came out to confirm they had tested positive.
