WWE begins Austin Theory’s push as a player on the main roster

Austin Theory got his first win since being drafted to WWE Monday Night Raw and the win was against Jeff Hardy.

It was noted last week in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE management has high hopes for Theory. Tonight’s win appears to be the start of a push for him. Things can always change in WWE but for now, things are looking good for Theory. Theory won with a roll up with a handful of tights. This happened after it was teased that Theory would lose due to a distraction after the undercard guys ran around ringside to chase 24/7 Champion Reggie.

The 24-year-old Theory signed with WWE in 2019 and he was brought up to the main roster to be in Zelina Vega’s stable.

His run on Raw did not last long and he was sent back to NXT last year where he was aligned with Johnny Gargano’s The Way faction with Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell.

As for what is next for Jeff Hardy, it looks like he will be portraying another character when he moves to SmackDown in less than two weeks.
