WWE Bringing In Former ECW Star For NXT Event At 2300 Arena

WWE will air a special NXT episode on Wednesday, November 6, at 2300 Arena, formerly the ECW Arena, in Philadelphia. The episode will air live on The CW starting at 8 p.m. ET.

The trend of taking NXT out on the road started this month, with the first two episodes on the CW Network taking place in Chicago and St. Louis. NXT and AEW went head-to-head this month and will do so yet again on this upcoming date.

The show will air on a different date because WWE will move NXT off its normal Tuesday timeslot and air it on Wednesday to avoid the US presidential election. Running the venue will give it a special hook to help increase ratings.

PWInsider reports that ECW original Bubba Ray Dudley is set to be in attendance for NXT. As of this writing, it’s unclear whether he will be on camera, but it was stated he is there to meet VIP ticket holders at the event as part of a package.

The former WWE star has been in the fold with the company since signing a Legends deal last September.
