WWE cancels several NXT matches amid COVID-19 outbreak fears

Fans can expect to see significant changes made to the lineup for Wednesday’s WWE NXT show.

Fightful Select reported today that some NXT talent has been contacted and told to quarantine while others have been pulled from the show outright. Per the report, there is a fear of another COVID-19 outbreak in NXT following a meeting that took place last Thursday.

This meeting called for Performance Center trainees to be required to attend. The report stated there were several people who didn’t take the proper precautions regarding COVID-19 and it has led to various wrestlers being pulled, and others quarantined.

As of this writing, WWE has yet to announce any changes to the show. Last week, WWE announced the following card for Wednesday’s NXT:

LA Knight to make his NXT in-ring debut

Tag Team Match:
Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher vs. Imperium (Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner)

Singles Match:
Dexter Lumis vs. Austin Theory

Singles Match:
Leon Ruff vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott

NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin to appear
