WWE Championship match is set for Money In The Bank pay-per-view

Fresh off his title defense at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, WWE Champion Bobby Lashley kicked off this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

Lashley gloated about beating Drew McIntyre once again. Per the stipulation, McIntyre can no longer challenge Lashley for the title.

As they were about to give a toast, The New Day interrupted Lashley, MVP, and their entourage by throwing pieces of toast at them. Kofi Kingston brought up how he rolled up and pinned Lashley on Raw a few weeks ago.

Kingston issued a challenge for the WWE Championship and Lashley accepted so the match is official for the Money In The Bank pay-per-view.

WWE Money In The Bank will be the first post-pandemic pay-per-view at full capacity with fans. The show is scheduled for Sunday, July 18, and will air live on Peacock in the United States and the WWE Network for the rest of the world.
