Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther took place at the WWE Clash In Italy Premium Live Event from the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy.
Rhodes and Gunther went right at it, Gunther getting the upper hand. Cody mounted a comeback attempt, including a scoop slam that got the fans to pop and a pedigree for 2. Rhodes with the disaster kick then went for crossrhodes for a near fall. Gunther put him in a sleeper to slow him down and Rhodes fell. Rhodes got to the bottom rope. They traded exchanges, then Cody hit a cutter. Cody hit his finisher and pinned Gunther, who had his his leg under the rope and Gunther was protesting it.
Winner: Rhodes
