Roman Reigns vs. Erick Rowan was the next to last match (or semi-main event) at this year’s WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view. The story going into this match was that Rowan was outed as the person behind the backstage forlift attack on SmackDown Live several weeks ago and the car attack on Monday Night Raw.
This was a no disqualification and no count outs match. Rowan dominated for the first several minutes after a brief flurry of offense from Reigns. Late in the match Rowan powerbombed Reigns through the announcers table.
They ended up brawling through the crowd and Rowan did an iron claw slam through a table on Reigns. Rowan was about to use the camera crane but Reign scountered with a steel pipe and then rammed the crane in to Rowan two times and then he followed up with the Superman punch and a spear in the aisleway but Luke Harper appeared and kicked Reigns in the face. Harper and Rowan continued to attack Reigns and that allowed Rowan to hit the claw slam and the pin for the win.
