As noted, Rusev wrestled Ryback at Tuesday night’s WWE SmackDown tapings and the match ended quickly as it appeared Rusev hurt his right ankle. Trainers took him to the back to check him out. Then, there was a photo making the rounds on Twitter of Rusev sitting in a wheelchair with crutches while at an airport the next morning.

Rusev is currently being evaluated for a lower leg injury, WWE.com has learned.
The Bulgarian Brute suffered the injury Tuesday night during the SmackDown tapings in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Bryan Alvarez mentioned during a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Live that it appears that Rusev will be pulled from the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event. While this is not confirmed by any means, but Alvarez said that WWE may have Bray Wyatt replace him.
