As we've noted, Braun Strowman being attacked by acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin on this week's episode of Raw was a way to write "The Monster Among Men" off WWE TV. Strowman will be undergoing surgery to repair an elbow injury, as he has been dealing with bone spurs in his elbow for the past several months. There is currently no news on when Strowman's surgery will take place, or how long exactly he'll be out. The hope is that Strowman will be back in time for his scheduled match with Corbin at Tables Ladders and Chairs.
WWE has now confirmed Strowman's surgery in storyline fashion, claiming the operation is a result of Strowman getting beatdown on Raw. Here's what they had to say:

Braun Strowman will be undergoing surgery on his shattered elbow, WWE.com has learned.
The injury to his elbow was the result of a brutal attack at the hands of Acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre & Bobby Lashley on Monday Night Raw. Strowman is currently scheduled to face Corbin in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match at WWE TLC on Sunday, Dec. 16.
