WWE has officially confirmed the news to the Wrestling Observer that broke last night via Pro Wrestling Sheet. Neville is no longer under contract and he is free to work with any wrestling promotion.
Neville hasn’t appeared on WWE television since October and he has been silent, opting not to do interviews and there have been no public posts on social media since his departure. The only thing that is known about him is that he and his wife moved from Orlando to the United Kingdom earlier this year.
Neville was signed in 2012 and became one of the top stars in NXT until he moved up to the main roster in 2015. In 2017, he was moved to the Cruiserweight division and he was one the cornerstones of 205 Live.
Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks indicated on Twitter that he spoke with Neville recently and he’s been doing well. No word on if there are plans for him to make a surprise appearance at All In but you can bet that every wrestling company, including ROH and New Japan Pro Wrestling, are going to be interested in signing him.
Since the story broke on Friday night, we have independently confirmed that Neville is no longer with WWE.
