You can argue that next week will be the biggest week ever for professional wrestling. It certainly will rank up there as one of the most important weeks in the history of the business.
All Elite Wrestling confirmed months ago that there would be pyro on their weekly shows and on pay-per-views and WWE confirmed today that pyro is coming back for their weekly shows.
New York Post journalist Joseph Staszewski says WWE Executive Producer Kevin Dunn confirmed to him that pyro is coming back along with new sets and graphics.
Staszewski tweeted, “Talked with #WWE Executive Producer Kevin Dunn about @WWEonFOX. Confirmed there will be new sets, openings, logos, graphics & theme music for both #Raw and SmackDown. Pyro is also returning including “flames, lasers.” More details next week on @nypostsports about #WWEPremiereWeek.”
Wrestlevotes broke the news last week about the return of pyro and the debut of the new sets.
In addition to the set and graphic changes, Raw and SmackDown will sound a lot different beginning next week.
WWE announced new announce teams for their main roster shows. Here is what the teams will look like next week:
Raw – Vic Joseph, Dio Maddin and Jerry “The King” Lawler
NXT – Mauro Ranallo, Beth Phoenix and Nigel McGuinness
SmackDown – Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Renee Young
