John Cena vs. Solo Sikoa took place at the WWE Crown Jewel 2023 premium live event from Saudi Arabia.
Solo jumped Cena and the beatdown of the former WWE Champion began. Solo used powerslams and holds to control the former WWE Champion. Cena fought back with a series of shoulder tackles and a side slam before hitting the five knuckle shuffle. Cena went for the AA, but Solo avoided and hit the samoan drop for 2. Solo with the whiplash attack in the corner for a third time. Cena with a powerslam for a near fall. Cena with a chokeslam for 2. Solo with a few samoan spikes
Winner: Solo Sikoa
Cena has not won a match at a premium live event since October 2018 at Super Showdown in Australia when he and Bobby Lashley beat Kevin Owens & Elias. His last singles match win at a PLE was earlier that year with a win over Triple H at Greatest Royal Rumble.
