Tyson Fury made his professional wrestling debut against Braun Strowman at WWE Crown Jewel.
Fury has said in interviews that he does not plan on wrestling again so this appears to be a one-off match for him as he resumes his boxing career. Fury was selling a storyline ankle injury he suffered when he was attacked by Strowman at the Performance Center.
Fury get a really cool-looking entrance with lasers and fire and he came out to “It’s Your Thing” by The Isley Brothers. They tried to replicate some of his boxing entrances.
Given his limited wrestling training, Fury looked awkward when he ran the ropes but they did as much as possible to hide Fury’s shortcomings. Given his lack of experience, he didn’t look too bad and did alright for himself. Strowman dominated most of the match but Fury landed a hard right hand as Strowman was making his way into the ring after the action spilled to ringside. Strowman was counted out. After the match, Strowman picked up and slammed Strowman. Fury no-sold it and got right back up as Strowman walked to the back.
