WWE Dr. Chris Amann receives COVID-19 vaccine

Dr. Chris Amann has announced that he received the COVID-19 vaccine.

WWE’s Senior Ringside Physician did so in a post shared on his Twitter and Instagram accounts. He got Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine on Friday evening.

It’s likely that all doctors working for WWE will get the vaccine in the future. He wrote the following in the caption of photos he posted:

“Just received my first dose of the @moderna COVID-19 vaccine this evening. So appreciative of and thankful for all of the health care workers, researchers, and organizations working tirelessly to make this possible to bring this pandemic under control. Didn’t feel a thing.”

According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control & Prevention), the way the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine works is having someone take two shots within one month or 28 days apart.

The shot is given in the muscle of the upper arm. The CDC states that while given in the clinical trials, the Moderna vaccine was 94.1% effective at preventing the COVID-19 virus in people who received two doses and weren’t previously infected.
