WWE Edits Out Carlito’s Controversial Line From Raw

There was a controversial moment during an October episode of WWE Raw involving Carlito while he was doing a backstage segment with Adam Pearce. Carlito walked into the room as IYO SKY and Kairi Sane were leaving before stating, “I gotta learn Chinese.”

As reported by Fightful, it was an unscripted line, and several people in the company were not happy about it. When the clip was uploaded to social media after it aired, the line was removed.

When the episode was uploaded to the WWE Network and Peacock this week, the line was also edited out. Instead, the show now zooms in on Adam Pearce as Carlito would be saying the line.

Both IYO and Kairi are Japanese. IYO has dealt with racist comments in the past.
