WWE Elimination Chamber main event is subject to change

WWE holds the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. So far, two matches have been locally advertised for the show.

First up is the SmackDown Tag Team Titles match with The New Day vs. The Miz and John Morrison, which will be a rematch from the Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia.

Also, there will be a SmackDown Chamber Match with the winner going on to challenge for the WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 36. Whether the champion be Bray Wyatt, the current champion, or Goldberg, who will challenge Wyatt for the strap at the Super ShowDown show.

Roman Reigns, King Baron Corbin, Robert Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura, Daniel Bryan, and WWE Intercontinental Champion Braun Strowman are set to compete in the chamber match.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the lineup of participants will likely change as the event gets closer. This lineup was sent to the arena by WWE in order to help sell tickets.

It was noted that WWE officials had not made a final decision on the match participants. Talent like Roode could end up being replaced as Meltzer noted that WWE just “threw six names” into the lineup for the advertisement.

Meltzer said, “It was a line up sent to sell tickets but they haven’t decided. They’re gonna have an Elimination Chamber … who the six people are, they just threw six names there.”
