The “all hands on deck” company meeting held today by WWE executives Stephanie McMahon, Nick Khan, and Frank Riddick kicked off at 3:45 pm and concluded just before 4 pm.
A lot of what was stated earlier in the company press release was confirmed, including the news that Vince McMahon is back on the Board of Directors.
It was reiterated that the current management will stay in place and the latest moves were portrayed as a positive thing that will help the company with future deals, notably the media rights for Raw and SmackDown, as well as the potential sale of the company.
Vince McMahon would have the final say if a sale happens and it was also stated that there was a “possible avenue” to take the company private again if it was “the best outcome for shareholders.”
So, in summary, the same management team will be in place and there is no indication right now that Vince will return to running the creative end of things. Of course, things could always change at a moments notice. As for the idea of taking the company private, that doesn’t mean it will happen but it’s something on the table if they don’t sell.
