AJ Styles (with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows in his corner) challenged Ricochet for the United States Championship at WWE Extreme Rules. The Club attacked Ricochet before the match got started so Styles had the advantage at the start of the match.
Ricochet had the match in hand but he had to deal with interference from Gallows and Anderson. Styles hit a Styles Clash off the middle rope and then pinned Ricochet to win the United States title for the third time.
It sounds like this feud will continue because the announcers wondered what Ricochet will think of this because Ricochet has respect for Styles and Ricochet had “professional respect” for The Club.
