WWE Faces Two Issues With Holding WrestleMania 42 In Las Vegas

Following Thursday’s report that WrestleMania 42 in 2026 will no longer take place in New Orleans, Las Vegas has emerged as the leading candidate to host WWE’s flagship event, with specific dates reportedly reserved. However, according to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while sources in Las Vegas confirm Allegiant Stadium is earmarked for April 18th and April 19th, 2026, two significant issues need resolution.

This aligns with an earlier NOLA.com report suggesting WWE leadership would “rather hold next year’s event in Las Vegas” after the success of WrestleMania 41 there.

Meltzer detailed the first hurdle: “There is a concert booked at the stadium that has not been announced that makes the moving in and setting up the stadium too tight. Those in charge of the stadium have attempted to move the concert date but the promoters have said that they have a contract for that date and thus far have been unwilling to move.” This scheduling conflict presents a major logistical challenge for WWE’s extensive setup requirements.

The second issue involves fan events. Meltzer stated, “Additionally, the Las Vegas Convention Center, which hosted WWE fan events for WrestleMania 41, has limited space for that weekend due to another event. WWE could end up using less space in the building or move to a different convention center such as Mandalay Bay.”
