WWE has decided how they will spell Piper Niven’s new ring name as they filed for the trademark to the “Doudrop” name with The United States Patent and Trademark Office. They did so on June 14th.
Niven made her main roster debut on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw by working a match on the behalf of Eva Marie to beat Naomi in a squash match.
After the match, Marie declared that she was the winner. The announcers never mentioned who Niven was or her past history.
It was reported earlier this week that the new ring name pitched for her was “Dew Drop” or “Doudrop.”
This trademark all but confirms the spelling of her name. Here is the description:
“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”
