WWE files trademark for ‘Queens Crown’ tournament

WWE filed for a new trademark, which seemingly has revealed the name of the company’s upcoming women’s tournament.

Earlier this week, WWE filed a trademark for “Queens Crown Tournament.” Here is the description:

“QUEENS CROWN TOURNAMENT™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, a show about professional wrestling; entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing wrestling news and information through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information.”

This comes after it was reported back in July that WWE was planning to hold a Queen of the Ring tournament later this year.

Both King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will start in October and then the finals will take place at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view event on Thursday, October 21st in Saudi Arabia.
