WWE has filed a trademark application for the name Mason Rook with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The application was submitted on April 23 under serial number 99782451. The filing covers entertainment services in the nature of wrestling exhibitions and performances rendered live and through broadcast media, including television, radio, and the internet, as well as fan club services, online newsletters, and blogs in the field of sports entertainment.
It is not currently clear which talent will be given the Mason Rook name. WWE trademark filings of this nature typically indicate the company has settled on a ring name ahead of a debut or that an existing performer is undergoing a rebranding, as seen recently when Eli Knight became EK Prosper. However, USPTO filings are not a guarantee that a name will ultimately appear on WWE television.
The filing comes alongside another recent WWE trademark for Shido Ash, which appears to be the ring name designated for former Judo Olympian Shady Elnahas. No similar clarity currently exists around who Mason Rook is intended for.
WWE NXT is getting a fresh face next week as Lizzy Rain is set to make her debut on the brand. Rain, who competed on the independent scene as Rayne Leverkusen, signed with WWE earlier this year following a three-day SummerSlam 2025 tryout that impressed company officials. She will make her NXT television debut next week, positioned as a potential breakout star for the brand.
The addition comes at a natural inflection point for NXT in the post-WrestleMania period. The brand has already seen roster turnover with Ethan Page, Sol Ruca, and Joe Hendry moving to Raw in recent weeks, while further call-ups, including Jacy Jayne and Ricky Saints, have been speculated upon. Lizzy Rain joins a remaining NXT roster that includes Kali Armstrong, The Vanity Project, and Shiloh Hill, among others.
