WWE Files Trademark For ‘Tribal Heir’

WWE filed a trademark for the term “Tribal Heir” on November 6, 2025. The filing covers a wide range of “entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer,” as well as “providing wrestling news and information,” fan club services, and online newsletters.

The ‘Tribal Heir’

In WWE programming, the “Tribal Heir” title refers directly to Solo Sikoa. The original “Tribal Chief,” Roman Reigns, officially named Sikoa the heir to his position on the December 15, 2023, episode of SmackDown. This title established that Sikoa was next in line to lead The Bloodline, a decision that notably caused a rift with fellow member Jimmy Uso.

Sikoa’s Leadership

Following Roman Reigns’ hiatus after WrestleMania 40, Solo Sikoa took over as the de facto leader of the faction. Sikoa, who has since assumed the “Tribal Chief” title for his new version of the group, has led the faction through a rebrand, now often referred to as “MFT” (My Family Tree).

Sikoa’s group saw Tama Tonga return on the October 10 episode of SmackDown, attacking United States Champion Sami Zayn. Sikoa himself lost that same title to Zayn on the August 29 episode of SmackDown. The Bloodline has been feuding with The Wyatt Sicks in recent weeks.
